About James Haugen

After graduating from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN - in 1984, I began in the real estate industry in 1990. I am originally from Minneapolis and worked with RE/MAX selling residential properties for 11 years. I worked mostly Minneapolis and western suburbs during this time with a dabble into St. Paul.

I then moved to RE/MAX corporate and worked in their newly formed Relocation division for roughly 2 years, covering 6 states in the upper mid-west. With the corporate decision to move out of the relocation business, I too moved on and into new adventure -the Sports Marketing Business.

My first business in Sports Marketing was selling sponsorships and hospitality in the racing industry: IndyCar, NASCAR, F1 and American LeMans Series for about 10 years. Next, I moved to sports technology as a Regional Director of a 13-state territory in the Mid-West selling video training software to coaches and athletes called Dartfish. Finally, in Sports Marketing, I worked with Panasonic selling their technology to the sports and entertainment industries working with NCAA division 1 schools and pro teams and other organizations. This career path moved me to Austin Texas. Where I have lived since 2009.

Getting back to my roots in 2013, I re-entered the real estate business selling new construction for the past 11 years with Brookfield Residential and Newmark Homes. I have re-acquired my real estate license and am ready to dive into my base of clients, friends and past customers and have a breakout year in 2025.

I look forward to learning, building my network of eXp agents and helping each other grow in our businesses.
